Kyosho MANOI AT01

Anyone here have the MANOI AT01 base?

I absolutely love it to pieces! The design of it just feels right... the length of the arms to the legs is perfect.

Has anyone had any problems with the knee servos getting too hot though? Mine have become so hot that they melt the plastic gears. Blech!

What do some of your MANOIs look like? Do you still use the controller board included? I swapped mine out for an Arduino + SSC-32.

WOW, the motor in the servo is getting hot enough to melt the gears?  Never seen that before.  Crazy.  They sell metal gear servos, but something tells me you just need bigger ones.
